“Bambi” Dye Transfer Print (c. 1950s) - ID: may24148

A dye transfer print from the Disney Studios featuring Bambi, Flower, and Thumper from “Bambi” (1942). The print was created at the studio from original art made for the animated film. Dye transfer prints are an older printing technique used by the studio to reproduce lush, saturated colors. Although the technique is no longer used, the prints maintain their brilliance. Measuring 11"x14" overall, with the character image measuring 8.25"x10.25", the print is in very good condition with minor discoloration to the paper, light edge wear, creasing to the bottom right corner, rippling, and purple markings.
